Support the WGA Strike

Supporting the WGA is very important for the future of the writers, as well as the entertainment industry in general. If writers are not being compensated fairly, they will no longer want to work, which in turn, could cause many writers to stop writing. This will cause a snowball effect which will ultimately leave us, the viewers, with bad/repetitive tv. The fewer writers there are the more stale the television content becomes. There will not be as many creative minds working together to make a show great, and many potential good ideas will be lost.

I urge you to please help in any way you possibly can, even if it’s just for a moment.

Here are a few things you can do:

1.      Do not watch the replacement programming that the networks will be showing, even if it’s a rerun of your favorite show.

2.      Don’t purchase or view any online content. This is one of the main points the strike is focused on, so please don’t.

3.      Sign the online petitions, and share these links with as many people as possible. The more signatures we get, the stronger we become.

4.      Send letter (or emails) of support to the WGA, and send letter to the AMPTP telling them what you think of the strike. Tell them that you are banning your tv and online content until a fair and just deal is made with the WGA.

Here are some online sites you can visit. Some of them are social networking groups created in support of the WGA, and others are great for informing you on the strike. There is even a site which contains supportive avatars.

Creep
Day 8

You know how they say your facial hair grows the most while your asleep? Well, I think I had maximum hair growth potential today. I had a very slow day at work today, and the hours just crept by. Because of how dull the day was, I believe my body thought it was sleeping and stimulated further hair growth. Doesn't sound like a bad thing to me.
